Australian Open announces multi-year DoorDash partnership
Tennis Australia has announced a multi-year partnership with food delivery company DoorDash, designating it as the Official On-Demand Delivery Partner of the Australian Open.
The partnership will see DoorDash enjoy a branding presence at the Golden Hour Bar on Grand Slam Oval. Fans will be able to order from a selection of food vendors through DoorDash.
DoorDash will also serve as a Presenting Partner of the Australian Open on the GO, which is the Australian Open’s grab-and-go convenience platform. DoorDash will have branding exposure across the vending machines, carts, and fan touchpoints, as well as through on-court virtual signage, LED gates, concourse screens, and digital wall animations.
Cedric Cornelis, Chief Commercial Officer, Tennis Australia, commented:
“Food and drink have become a much-anticipated staple of the Australian Open experience. We are making it easier than ever for fans to enjoy the precinct on their own terms. The introduction of DoorDash delivery at Golden Hour Bar on Grand Slam Oval is designed to give fans more choice, more convenience and more time to enjoy the action.”
Simon Rossi, Vice President, DoorDash APAC, said:
“The Australian Open brings together world-class tennis and some of Melbourne’s most exciting food, and we’re thrilled to help fans enjoy more of both. At the Golden Hour Bar, we’re bringing delivery into the tournament experience, making it more convenient for fans to enjoy food from across the precinct without leaving the bar.”
