A well-rounded performance from India saw them take the re-lead in the third T20I in Indore. Now, Shreyas Iyer & Co will look to seal the series in Hyderabad and pick up another home series win.

Shai Hope’s West Indies, meanwhile, will be looking to keep themselves alive as the series moves to the deciding game.

For the fourth T20I between India and the West Indies, here we present our preview and predictions.

IND v WI 2026 | 4th T20I | 19:00 IST, October 14, 2026

The Indian batting unit, full of explosive batting stars, continued to do what they do best as they went hard right from the get-go in the third game. Sanju Samson’s inconsistency was back, but losing his opening partner early did not bother Abhishek Sharma, who smashed 69 off 30 balls to give India the perfect start alongside Ishan Kishan’s quick-fire 37.

India’s middle and lower orders were finally put to the test, and the likes of Tilak Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Axar Patel made handy contributions to help the team post an above-average 223.

With the ball, the senior seamer in the squad, Arshdeep Singh, took out the dangerous Shai Hope early, and, despite a promising partnership early on for the second wicket, the Indian bowlers kept a check on the West Indian batters, while the slower bowlers and Nitish Kumar Reddy got the job done.

The visitors, meanwhile, once again struggled with the ball after opting to bowl. They had no answer for Sharma and Kishan, though Roston Chase continued to stand out for the West Indies with the new ball, providing breakthroughs and keeping a lid on the scoring. That said, captain Hope will expect more from his bowlers, as the lengths they have been bowling have been easily punished. The inclusion of Gudakesh Motie was a promising one, with the left-arm spinner impressing in Indore.

Hope, who has been WI’s star batter this series, had an off day, which meant the rest of the batters had to step up. And while the likes of Kamil Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Sherfane Rutherford, and Quentin Sampson did get starts, none were able to convert theirs into a big score and see the chase home.

The West Indies have plenty of experience and firepower in the middle order thanks to the likes of Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, and Rutherford. Hope knows his players can do better, and he will expect that going forward.

The Hyderabad strip is one of India’s highest-scoring grounds and regularly witnesses scores of 200+ during the Indian Premier League. Having two strong batting sides on display means that we should be in for another high-scoring game, though it’s the bowlers who will decide the game.

India’s bowling depth and variety gives them the edge to win the match and seal the series here.
